Submission Guidelines

Please check our individual submission guidelines. Some of us like direct email, some of us use Query Manager.

Eric Smith: Eric is accepting queries via eric@neighborhoodliterary.com. Please note, he’s not open to new kid-lit at this time, but is looking forward to seeing adult projects in his inbox! Just a query letter please, no attachments. Eric responds to all queries, and you should expect a reply in six to eight weeks.

Rebecca Podos: Rebecca only accepts queries through the QueryManager system. Please be prepared to include a query letter and the first three chapters of your manuscript here.

Aashna Avachat: Aashna accepts queries through QueryManager. You can find her specific MSWL here.

Donovan Levine: Donovan accepts query letters the first week of every month, and then is closed until the first of the next month. You can send queries directly to donovan@neighborhoodliterary.com with the first three chapters of the manuscript (attached or in the body of the email).

If he doesn’t get back to you on your query within 4 - 5 weeks, it is likely a pass.
