Interested in an internship for Fall 2025? We’re looking for an intern (or two!) to assist our agents. Responsibilities include reading manuscripts, editing proposals, researching markets, and some contract work. Our goal is that by the end of your internship, you’ll leave with a wealth of experience.
We also encourage mid-career folks to apply. Interns are expected to work at least five hours a week, and will get a small monthly stipend.
The internship will run from September through December.
Please send a cover letter in with a resume to team@neighborhoodliterary.com. Please note, we’ll begin considering folks in June, and will only be responding to candidates we’re considering.

Welcome! We're looking for the right person to fill a literary agent role. You should have at least two to three years of experience working and/or interning in a related field, and of course, a wild passion for books.
We're a new, growing agency, representing bestselling and award-winning authors, and hope to offer a supportive environment where you can thrive.
Compensation is commission-based, and this is a remote, contract position. You determine your hours and schedule, as well as your list and submission guidelines.
To apply, simply send a brief cover letter and resume to team@neighborhoodliterary.com with the subject "Literary Agent" in the subject line. We'd love to know a little bit about what kind of books you'd like to work on. While we encourage folks who want to curate their own lists to apply, we’re extra interested in anyone who wants to zero in on non-fiction.
We're looking to fill this position by the end of the summer, and will be in touch with applicants we're considering. Thank you!
Don’t see a position that feels right for you, but still curious about working with us? Say hi anyway at team@neighborhoodliterary.com.
